About Thomas Dawson

With over seven years of legal experience, I am a passionate and proactive Legal Project Manager at Browne Jacobson, a leading global law firm. I have a strong background in law and business, having completed my LPC and MSc from the University of Law. My mission is to deliver high-quality legal services to clients across various sectors and regions, while optimizing efficiency, cost, and risk management. I thrive in a collaborative and diverse environment, where I can leverage my skills in communication, coordination, and reporting to support associate teams and senior stakeholders on complex and challenging matters. In my current role, I am responsible for coordinating matters for associate teams across multiple offices, including the development and implementation of internal and client-facing reporting, project plans, and schedules. I manage financials, including scoping, budgeting, forecasting, and identifying function cost savings through analysis of WIP. I also coordinate multi-jurisdictional advice, utilizing external counsel in over 160 countries through a combination of external law firms and Freshfields’ network offices. Additionally, I liaise with internal and external specialist departments, such as eDiscovery, to set up appropriate procedures for tracking a disclosure stage of proceedings. Through these tasks, I demonstrate my skills in interviewing, management, and recruiting, as well as my knowledge of legal systems and processes.
