About Thomas Dreesen

I am currently an Education Manager at UNICEF Innocenti. My team focuses on embedding implementation research into large-scale programmes / initiatives to improve their delivery, scale and impact. Experienced manager with more than a decade of experience managing teams to deliver programs and conduct research in development and humanitarian settings for UNICEF, the World Bank, Harvard Kennedy School's Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD) and the Poverty Action Lab, South Asia (JPAL-SA). Expertise in quantitative analysis and econometrics, with a track record of managing large rounds of data collection in the field. My passion lies in building better capacity to embed research and evidence into programme design and delivery. To that end, I have designed and led multiple capacity building trainings on practical methods to co-create research, improve M&E, research uptake and data and evidence use in decision making.
