About Thomas Duncan

With over eight years of experience in the US Navy, I am a skilled and motivated Operations Officer with a passion for logistics, security, and operations. I have a strong background in coordinating and executing complex and multi-national exercises and missions across three continents, as well as managing the operational security, public affairs, and funding of a large command. I am committed to serving the nation and its allies with excellence, integrity, and innovation, and I bring diverse perspectives and experiences from living and working overseas. In my current role as an Operations Officer at the Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron, I am responsible for eight sailors in the operational movement and employment of command resources for multiple deploying units from the US to Europe, the Middle East, and Pacific. I use my skills in Microsoft Excel and Office to plan and coordinate military operations and logistics, and to run the Operational Security Program of the command. I also facilitate public affairs events to bolster the Navy’s outreach, and manage the funding for 1,400 Naval Reservists across the US. I have been recognized with a Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for my outstanding performance and leadership.
