About Thomas Emerson
Thomas is a proud Canberran who is passionate about building healthy communities. After graduating from the Australian National University’s Bachelor of Philosophy program in 2016, Thomas founded Canberra’s first movement studio, Praksis, in 2017. Thomas started working as an adviser to Senator David Pocock in mid-2022 having seen the positive effect his people-first approach to politics was having on members of his local community. In early 2024, Thomas co-founded Independents for Canberra with the goal of getting community independents elected to the ACT Legislative Assembly.
