I'm a social scientist specializing in the development of Research Infrastructure across the Social Sciences. I'm currently the Director of ODISSEI, the Dutch National Infrastructure for Social Science Research and Associate Professor of Sociology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. In these positions I oversee the day-to-day management of the infrastructures and contribute to its long term, strategic development. My substantive research focuses on the developing relationships and exchange between generations in the context of ageing societies. This research is particularly focused on the interaction between public and private exchange and the extent to which existing intergenerational contracts are sustainable.
