About Thomas Forbes

I am a forward-thinking and self-directed neuroscientist with extensive years of combined clinical, research, and didactic experience. My specialty is understanding human disease in an ever-changing healthcare landscape. Specifically, I’m dedicated to the investigation of brain dysfunction and cancer. Driven by intellectual curiosity in all facets of my life, I began my formal career in science and medicine studying radiation oncology/pre-medicine, followed by extensive clinical oncology experience. After receiving my Ph.D. in Neuroscience - Molecular Medicine, I completed interdisciplinary postdoctoral training at Children’s National Health System, where my research was positioned at the interface between neurodevelopment and disease. I am a highly motivated, outgoing, and optimistic individual. I’m confident in my ability to build strong collaborative relationships, and my combined experiences and intellectual drive enables me to be impactful across multiple types of roles. Importantly, I aim to connect like-minded people, products, and ideas that implement meaningful research findings at the forefront of science and medicine.
