About Thomas Garda

I have a strong passion for affordable housing, and have had several positions with affordable housing developers and advocates. Here, I have learned so much about the housing process, federal and state funding sources, and affordable housing policy. I have worked alongside policy professionals, lawyers, researchers, developers, and so many more players in the nonprofit sector, who have taught me what it takes to strive for a common mission. I also have a strong interest in policy research, both qualitative and quantitative, and would like to use the skills I have gained to ask big questions about societal problems and how best to help solve them. Beyond my policy interests and experience, I am driven by my fervor to help others, and need to be in a role where I can work toward that goal.
