I’m a German and European qualified patent attorney and happy to work as such in the Intellectual Property department of NXP Semiconductors N.V. I’m Director IP and the Lead IP Counsel for the Business Unit Security & Connectivity. NXP is a globally operating company creating solutions that enable secure connections for a smarter world. The Business Unit Security & Connectivity connects and safeguards all identities in such an increasingly connected world, including cyber security, portables & wearables, and the Internet of Things. Beside generally supporting the business regarding all kind of IP related topics (including contracting and negotiations with customers and other partners) I’m responsible for IP strategy, IP leveraging, strategic IP acquisition and IP related topics in M & As. I really like to work in a global and international company like NXP and being connected to or part of teams around the world. In view of NXP’s hard business requirements in the semiconductor world, fast and creative IP solutions are the first choice when working with the business. While thinking out of the box, innovative and strategic creation and exploitation of IP adds remarkable value to the business and to the company.
