45 5353 8022 / thomas.guldager@me.com With 20 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, I have managed, developed and improved teams and organizations within the regulated FDA and Danish Medical Agency environments. My experience within the industry ranges from implementing strategies for cost reductions, process optimizations, implementing LEAN manufacturing and visual planning processes, multi-site manufacturing responsibility to qualifying production lines and securing approvals from regulatory agencies both in Europe and the US. From a leadership perspective I drive performance through empathy, a positive culture, accountability and honesty, in addition I find structure and alignment are key attributes in almost any context – combining these perspectives into a leadership approach has enabled me to achieve significant manufacturing and financial improvements throughout my career. My progression within operations and general management was initially focused on the integration of a production facility and then transitioned into engineering & maintenance, Operational Excellence Director and most recently as Chief Operating Officer. During this development my strong financial background has proven vital in managing the financial performance of operating units. During my career I have gained extensive international work experience in China, England, Denmark and the US – therefore adapting to new cultures and leading in vastly different contexts is something I excel at and enjoy.
