Background
About Thomas Hart
I am a transitioning U.S. Navy Chief with nearly 20 years of experience in aviation support equipment, facilities management, maintenance operations, logistics coordination, quality assurance, and operational leadership across Guam, Japan, and the Indo-Pacific region. My career started as a hands-on Aviation Support Equipment Technician and progressed into senior leadership roles managing facilities, equipment readiness, production control, inspections, contractors, budgets, infrastructure projects, and maintenance programs. I currently serve as a Facilities Manager and Support Equipment Supervisor responsible for nine operational facilities, aging infrastructure, more than 80 support equipment assets, facility improvement projects, contractor coordination, and inspection readiness. My experience includes aerospace ground equipment, ground support equipment, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, diesel-powered equipment, HVAC support equipment, electrical systems, material handling equipment, maintenance scheduling, work prioritization, supply coordination, maintenance documentation, readiness reporting, audits, inspections, corrective actions, root cause analysis, and quality assurance programs. I have served as a Production Control Chief, Quality Assurance Officer, Flight Deck Officer, Air Department Leading Petty Officer, Load Test Director, Maintenance Supervisor, and Aviation Support Equipment Technician. These roles gave me experience leading teams, coordinating across organizations, managing operational risk, supporting high-tempo aviation operations, and working directly with contractors, vendors, engineers, supply teams, program offices, and operational stakeholders. I hold Department of Labor certifications as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, Aviation Support Equipment Repairer, and Computer Operator, along with an active Secret clearance renewed in 2025. I am preparing to retire from active duty in February 2027 and am focused on long-term opportunities in Okinawa, Japan, the Indo-Pacific region, or remote roles aligned with facilities management, maintenance management, GSE/AGE, logistics support, field service, quality assurance, equipment sustainment, contractor support, program support, and operations management. If my background aligns with your organization’s needs, or if you’re open to connecting professionally, I’d be glad to start the conversation.
