About Thomas Hasselgren

Have been working fulltime with football since the beginning of 2001, in different roles. Have passion for youth football has been specialist on academy level. I have big knowledge about both national and international levels. Just now I work for the Swedish football league organisation since, 1/6 as academy developer. Develop the clubs and staff in the youths academies with different projects and the academy certification system in Sweden. Our clients are clubs from Allsvenskan and Superettan the 2 professional leagues in Sweden. Project leader and build the new academy certification system 2.0 in Sweden (started 2023). Have lead our head of coaching and reference projects with a lots of study visits to top clubs and associations our Europé (,󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, and ) since 2021. We also had cooperation with Double pass Before this job I was academy manager and responsible for the children football at Valerenga Fotball 2012-2020. As academy Manager I build up the academy to the best academy in Norway. We was the first and only with top 5 starts in Norway academy certification system. 2005-2011 I work fulltime for IF Brommapojkarna, as youth football administrator. The club is famous for the academy and have a lots of players in the Swedish national team. I have also experience from other clubs both in professional and grassroots level (volunteers, part time and fulltime worker). Start all ready 1988 as a youth coach. Have UEFA A license.
