About Thomas Heise

Experienced risk manager with strong credit risk expertise in a wide variety of product and debtor categories. This includes in particular specialist knowledge in the derivatives and loan area, as well as in trade finance. My experience covers a wide array of customer types, including banks, sovereigns and sub-sovereigns as well as corporates, project finance and structured finance (ABS). This includes credit risk assessment, cash-flow modelling, contract review as to specific credit reviews and more generally the advancement of process, policy and the scope of the risk function expansion as well as the implementation of change processes and the establishment of data-driven decisions up to the application of artificial intelligence (AI). My understanding of leadership is essentially based on mentoring and coaching, whereby my focus to leverage and develop the skills of each team member. In doing so, I encourage personal responsibility, responsiveness, integrity and efficient communication between departments with the aim of achieving result-oriented solutions with the best possible accuracy. I hold a master degree in mathematical finance from the University of Constance, Germany.
