About Thomas Ho

Accomplished project management professional with 6+ years in the information technology (SaaS), energy and utilities industry. The work has allowed me to learn about the struggles of legacy systems, connect with innovative technology and implement solutions that are beneficial towards a sustainable future. I am passionate about product design and renewable technology. I enjoy reading product reviews and “how things are made” documentaries. With a background in mechanical engineering, I am quick to understand how things work or fit together and am always thinking about ways to improve things. My ideal role is to create sustainable products that consumers love and change the world. I believe that my greatest strengths are adaptability, communication and resilience. Having served 2.5 years in the military, I understand the value of teamwork, leadership and flexibility to make a mission successful. Equally comfortable working with Agile and Waterfall methodologies, I am known for being big picture focussed, excelling at being analytical and inclusive when problem solving. My PMP® certification in 2019 is the product of 6 years of valuable lessons learned in the trenches. At GreenSync, I developed actionable plans in accordance with product vision, communicated expectations with stakeholders and guided teams to execute these plans. My proudest career accomplishment is the successful delivery of The Community Grid Project in 2018; an emergency energy optimisation solution connecting distributed energy resources into the grid for on-demand usage in response to the critical need of a popular holiday destination. It required a unique blend of management styles working closely with government entities, business corporations, technology partners and the local community to create a viable solution that fits the expectation of all stakeholders. Outside of work, I love to cook, eat and exercise. As an avid cyclist, runner and triathlete with Ironman ambitions, I am caught in the vicious cycle of constantly battling myself and the never-ending conundrum of covering longer distances in shorter times.
