About Thomas Horner

I am a Purdue University Polytechnic Institute graduate with an interest in and experience with manufacturing, design, maintenance and sustainability.My curiosity in how objects work led me to study mechanical engineering technology. I have an understanding of the five types of plastics manufacturing, as well as a background in 3D printing. I have been using CAD software since 2018, as well as CAM software that I use in conjunction with CNC machines for manufacturing parts. I have learned GD & T techniques and ANSI symbols to help make my designs easily repeatable in manufacturing.I am a team player and a leader who loves working in group settings. I have experience leading class group projects and extracurricular clubs: For me, accomplishing the group's goal isn't enough, I want everyone involved to have a good experience while doing it.I am also dedicated to service. Whether it be Cub/Boy scouts, Sierra Club, or Alpha Phi Omega (APO) I have been involved in service in some form since I was a young child.
