About Thomas Ilott
From Ware, Hertfordshire. Attended Christ Church JMI, The Chauncy School, Derby University. My introduction to a career in IT and manufacturing came through Magna Interiors which subsequently was bought by Grupo Antolin (automotive). Working in a small team virtualising the IT infrastructure (VMWare ESXi) and upgrading the LAN (Cisco/Fortinet), developing production/sequencing systems and providing quality day-to-day IT support. Following that I established myself in the role as IS Site Lead at Owens Corning responsible for the IT infrastructure and developing the Manufacturing Execution System to better support plant activities. I am also a member of the Safety Action Team, SAP Site Champion and a Project Manager working closely with the senior management team delivering CAPEX projects in line with the corporate strategy. After receiving a promotion in October 2021 I am now European Functional Lead - Warehouse Management (SAP).
