As CEO of a dynamic community centre in Brisbane, I bring over a decade of strategic leadership, operational excellence, and community impact. I lead a team of 120+ dedicated volunteers and successfully mentor and manage my managerial team of staff. I also serve as a trusted Board Advisor, drawing on my extensive experience in governance, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement. With a strong foundation in commercial strategy and community development, I’ve successfully transformed the Donald Simpson Community Centre into a modern, client-focused hub, now welcoming over visitors annually and supporting a growing membership of My leadership has been instrumental in securing and managing government contracts and community initiatives, including the My Aged Care Navigation Trial, Carers Program, and contributing to the CRC Bid for Longevity. I’m well-versed in P2i frameworks, grant writing, and capital funding acquisition, having led major infrastructure upgrades through strategic partnerships and funding advocacy. My governance experience spans over ten years, including AGM facilitation, minute-taking, and serving as Returning Officer during Board elections. With an MBA and a strong knowledge in IT, I also oversee digital transformation initiatives, including website and POS system management, and social media marketing—ensuring our centre remains connected, accessible, and future-ready.
