I, Thomas John, originally from Kerala but brought-up & schooled in Delhi. I am an Electrical & Electronics engineer with post-graduation in M.B.A (Marketing) and up till now I have a total work experience of 11.2yrs. My years of experience of coordination with various personnel & departments are enumerated below: • Currently I am working as a Management Executive at Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), and I am tasked with coordinating with all the 41 branch offices across India for the efficient and effective conduct of Standards Promotional activities on various Indian Standards published by BIS. • Prior to BIS, I was working at Sports Authority of India (SAI)as a Junior Consultant and I was associated with a national level scheme known as State Level Khelo India Centre (SLKIC). The scheme envisaged the establishment of a Sports Centre of Excellence in every State & UT. As the Nodal officer of the scheme, I coordinated with the Heads of the various States & UT's sports departments and SAI regional offices, regarding the implementation of various aspects of the scheme. • I organized status review meeting with all the heads of the States/UTs sports departments and presented consolidated reports (in the form of agenda, Minutes of Meetings, presentations, etc) for the perusal of the Executive Director, Director General & Executive Committee of SAI & based on the report I prepared the quarterly & annual Budget requirements for the scheme. • While at SAI and before my transition to SLKIC scheme, I was working as a Researcher at Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS). The scheme was designed to provide the Olympic probable athletes with qualitative and quantitative research on the performance of the global competitors. While analysing I interacted with all the stakeholders like coaches, federation officials, sports scientist, and ex-athletes to quantify the qualitative data. • Before SAI, I was working with Engineering Projects India Ltd (PSU)(EPI)as a Manager Gr-II (Electrical) and was responsible for all the Electro-mechanical works at the construction site. I was tasked to liaison with the Client and to coordinate with the suppliers so that the contractors could finish the work in the approved timelines. • Prior to EPI I was working as an Electrical Engineer in Nael General Contracting Est, a construction firm based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates and the firm had personnel from 4-5 nationalities in various roles. It was an amazing learning experience of interacting with people of different nationalities.
