About Thomas Joseph

Began my career in 2016 as an AutoCAD Operator through a four-month co-op program with Plan Group, Toronto. Shortly after, I joined Convergint Technologies as a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Technician for a one-year co-op, gaining exposure to the complete work cycle of small to medium BAS projects. After being hired full-time, I advanced my skills and took on responsibilities as a Site Lead Technician, delivering medium to large-scale construction projects across multiple regions including Windsor, Smiths Falls, St. John’s, Fredericton, and the GTA. My work involved automation and integration of diverse electromechanical and field equipment within HVAC and smart infrastructure systems. I later expanded into industrial automation project delivery with Consyst (India), where I led design, execution, and client relationship management. This role gave me the opportunity to work across a wide range of vertical markets, including central and state government tender projects, as well as private-sector clients in middle East and India. It was here that I further strengthened both my technical and project leadership skills. My project management journey formally began with Turbolab, a software company, where I honed process-oriented management skills, with a strong focus on client relationship management and people leadership. Currently, I serve as a Project Manager at Siemens Canada (Halifax branch). I manage and collaborate with cross country and global teams, to ensure project KPIs are achieved. My goal is to continue enhancing my management skills while staying grounded in my technical foundation, with a strong interest in energy efficiency and smart infrastructure solutions.
