Metrics Specialist serving Facilities & Services at 3M involves the responsibilities surrounding performance measurement. Each of Facilities & Services 60+ internal facing services uses service performance data to make business decisions. Each of these services provides monthly process and service data which enables management to view and understand the the performance of the department. The process metrics focus upon the controlled delivery of service through Key Performance Indicators associated with service level agreements. The data is processed into a 4 pack chart display to understand at a glance the health of the service delivery. Aircraft maintenance technician in U.S. Navy 1970 - 1974, served aboard U.S.S. Midway, Attack Squadron 56. E-5 at the end of enlistment. One 12 month tour of duty (cruise) in Tonkin Gulf, Vietnam. One year in Japan while Midway was home ported in Yokuska. Airwing at Atsugi. Joined Boeing Company at Wichita, KS following education to earn an A&P license. Worked at Boeing Wichita from 1979 - 1992. Maintained a wide variety of comercial aircraft including, 707, 727, 737, 747, & DC-9. Re-engined KC-135's, re-winged A-6's. Maintained Boeing's corporate fleet of 3 Citation for three years before leaving and taking the job at 3M Aviation. Maintained fleet of 6 Gulfstream IV's latter being replaced by 5 Gulfstream V's. Promoted to supervision in 1994 and department manager in 1996. Managed ground operations until leaving for Six Sigma assigment in 2004. Specialties: Six Sigma - Black Belt. Corporate Flight Department management - all elements short of operational flight execution. I am not a pilot.
