Background
About Thomas Kindred
As a Visiting Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University, I teach classes at the undergraduate and Master's levels, advise undergraduate and Master's theses, and conduct independent math research. I have 16 years of teaching experience and 14 completed research papers. One of my papers solved at 30 (or 125) year old problem, and another is co-authored with a Master's advisee and two co-advisors. My research in geometric topology in 3 and 4 dimensions approaches knot theory via linear algebra and spanning surfaces and solids. I am also interested in connections between these concepts and computing, quantum topology, computational geometry, and applications to the sciences. I am on searching for a tenure-track Assistant Professorship to begin AY 2025-26.
