My university days were spent focusing on analysis of Dynamical Systems, mostly via applications to Classical and Continuum Mechanics problems as these were most prominent in my course. Also briefly studied dynamical systems in biological settings, such as population modelling and chemical kinetics. My dissertation was studying symmetries in Hamiltonian systems in mechanics, by their formulation via the theory of differentiable manifolds. The final result of the dissertation was the study of stability of a rigid body under SO(4).
