About Thomas Koser

I am passionate about working in the medical field, especially in laboratories. I love pathology, biology, anatomy and physiology, and generally working in a laboratory or hospital setting. I began working as a volunteer at Manatee Memorial Hospital on December 3, 2014. I worked primarily in the pathology lab and then transferred over to transporter services. After working there for weeks, I was offered a job as a transporter, which I happily accepted. I started working on January 5, 2015. In 2017, I have been cross-training in the telemetry department in order to become a monitor technician. During that time, I learned about basic sinus rhythm, different types of arrhythmias that can occur (such as A. Fib, tachycardia, bradycardia, etc.), and how to operate the equipment used to monitor the patients' heart rhythms. On February 4, 2018, I transferred from the Transportation department over to Telemetry.
