Thomas J. Kremen, MD is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with additional subspecialty certification in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine. He has been an attending orthopaedic surgeon for more than 10 years and has served as a team physician all over the country, and around the world, helping elite athletes stay at the top of their game. During this time, he has served as team physician for numerous organizations including Duke University Intercollegiate Athletics, US Men's National Team Soccer, LA Galaxy (MLS), USA Basketball, and the USA Olympic Swimming Team. Dr. Kremen has served as the chair of USA Swimming's (NGB) Sports Medicine and Science Committee since 2016. He has served as a team physician for the UCLA Bruins NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics teams since 2018 including the Football, Water Polo, Men's Soccer and Swimming teams. Since 2019, Dr. Kremen has also served as the Head Team Physician for the South Bay Lakers (NBA G-league) and the associate team physician for the Los Angeles Lakers (NBA). In 2020, Dr. Kremen spent 6 weeks in the NBA bubble where he served as team physician for more than 20 NBA teams and more than 50 NBA games. In 2021, he served as the team physician for Team USA's Men's and Women's Swimming teams at the Tokyo Olympic games. In the summer of 2023 Dr. Kremen served as team physician for Team USA's Men's Basketball team for the FIBA World Cup Tournament in Manila, Philippines. In 2024, he served as team physician for USA Basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. In the summer of 2024, Dr. Kremen also joined the medical staff of the Los Angeles Chargers NFL football team.
