About Thomas Lamond

I am a highly motivated professional with a Bachelor of Laws (completed 2020) and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering (completed 2005). I have also been admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Tasmania. I have sixteen years’ professional experience in the fields of chemical engineering, process safety and work health and safety consulting which involved working in challenging environments across a variety of sectors both in Australia and overseas. As a consultant and through my previous role as a representative of the regulator, the ability to engage with and clearly communicate information and advice to all levels of an organisation was essential. I also have a demonstrated ability to influence key stakeholders regarding safety culture and performance through my interactions with these organisations. I am an accredited ISO 45001 Lead Auditor with significant industry experience in WHS system auditing, risk assessments, incident investigations and safety management systems. There are three major objectives for my working life: for my work to challenge me, to continue to build on the skills and knowledge I have acquired, and to do work that ultimately makes a positive impact on the workforce and the business.
