About Thomas Lange

Dr Thomas Lange is a highly experienced leader in the Higher Education industry. He is currently invited Visiting Senior Research Fellow, College of Business, Abu Dhabi University, U.A.E, Affiliate Research Professor at The Centre for Research in Economics of Education, University of Bern, Switzerland, and Professor of Human Resource Management, Coal City University, Enugu, Nigeria. Previous leadership positions included Associate Dean, Executive Dean, Pro Vice Chancellor, Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor Research, and Acting Vice Chancellor in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom. Lange is also an invited Fellow of the Global Labor Organization (GLO), and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He has written extensively in the OB, HRM, and Transformational Leadership arenas. His publications feature in several elite, high impact journals, including premier outlets such as Human Resource Management (US), British Journal of Management, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Small Business Economics, The Leadership Quarterly, and Journal of Business Research. Lange is Founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal Evidence-based HRM (EBHRM) and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Manpower (IJM), both Scopus/WoS indexed and published by Emerald. He initiated, designed and managed multiple formal partnerships with such world-class universities as Fordham, Georgetown, Ghent, Jönköping, Maastricht, Missouri–St. Louis, Nanjing, and Oxford. A world-leading policy advisor, Lange was invited to address the Welsh Assembly Government on the importance of evidence-based policy making and served as key architect of Future Skills Scotland, the country’s first labour market intelligence unit. He was a member of the Economic Policy Advisory Group of New Zealand's National Party and provided skills policy advice to the Deputy Prime Minister, Government of Vietnam. Lange's research informed policy proposals were debated publicly during parliamentary sessions in the United Kingdom.
