About Thomas Lavin

As a dedicated Aquarium General Manager, I am passionate about connecting people with the wonders of the natural world. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing guests discover their new favorite animal or habitat! To foster these connections, my team and I design interactive, immersive exhibits that transport visitors beyond our physical space and into the ecosystems we strive to showcase. For over 7 years, I have led and expanded VIA Aquarium, enhancing guest engagement and driving year-over-year growth. Beyond live animal exhibits, I’ve also developed standalone interactive experiences to captivate and educate audiences.*VIA Dino Discovery – An animatronic dinosaur exhibit, created in partnership with VIA|Port and Dinoscapes, bringing prehistoric creatures to life and exceeding post-pandemic expectations.*VIA Famous Figures – A thematically rotating EyeSpy Wax Museum, offering visitors a unique and ever-changing opportunity to engage with historical and cultural icons. Whether through vibrant marine habitats, prehistoric landscapes, or lifelike historical figures, my goal is always the same: to spark curiosity, foster learning, and create experiences that inspire a lasting connection with the world around us.
