About Thomas Liardon

I'm an undergraduate senior at UH working towards a BBA degree specializing in marketing. Before transferring to UH, I spent my first two years of college attending UNT focusing on finance, where I worked my way up the Student Investment Group program from an Analyst, to Senior Analyst, to a Portfolio Manager. I have changed course to marketing to expand my expertise to more aspects of business.In my years at UNT, I was informally trained to analyze all pertinent aspects of an equity as to construct DCF models for the given corporation. I was trained to construct DCF's using Microsoft Excel, the Bloomberg Terminal, and the IBISworld database. My skills in these systems proved sufficient enough to teach four separate classes to Junior Analysts on the subject of utilization of the Bloomberg terminal to analyze equities. In my semester at UH, money has been tight. I have been demonstrating great stamina by working fulltime as a student and 30 hours a week at my serving job at the local restaurant Craft Grill. In my time serving I have gained experience working in consulting sales. I am tasked with knowing and utilizing a six page menu of food and alcoholic beverages to help guests of the restaurant to make decisions that they will be satisfied with. At my time at UNT, I also was formally (took classes and received letter grades of A or B) trained in accounting, managerial and principles, business management, and communications. While in my lone semester at UH I have trained in entrepreneurship, corporate and personal, marketing, and sales. In the summers before spending school years at UNT, I was employed for Harrisburg Homes, a local homebuilder small business based in Tomball. I worked as an on the road construction supervisor and warranty specialist. I dealt with construction issues with a network of around a dozen vendors, and was in charge of scheduling and following up with new homeowners to make sure the move in process went smoothly. It is my goal to continue to pursue all aspects of business in college, so that I have a multitude of avenues of opportunity to enter into when I graduate. With experience all over the business spectrum, I look to be a capable leader in whatever field I enter.
