I’ve spent the past 15 years working inside finance teams that are trying to grow, modernise, or simply hold everything together. I’ve led reporting, cash flow, systems, risk and transformation work across a mix of sectors, and the pattern is always the same. The tech is rarely the real issue. It’s the daily processes, the messy workarounds and the habits people fall back on when things get busy.My work today sits in that space where finance, operations and technology meet. As Financial Controller and Head of Finance Transformation, I look after end to end finance, reporting, automation projects and the practical side of change. I like making things clearer and easier. I like fixing the parts of the process no one wants to own. And I like showing that small improvements in the right place often beat another big system project.I’ve helped teams lift reporting accuracy, reduce noise, improve decision making and build processes that actually stick. I’ve also worked as a CFO, which means I understand the operational and strategic pressures that sit around a finance function. I enjoy working with operators, board members and senior leaders to solve real problems, not just present clean numbers.I currently serve as a Non Executive Director and Chair of the Finance and Risk Committee at St John Ambulance Queensland, contributing to financial oversight, governance and broader organisational strategy.Colleagues describe me as practical, steady and curious, and someone who can translate complex finance into something people can use.
