About Thomas Maloney

I counsel emerging companies throughout their lifecycle. I guide companies through equity and debt financings, advises on corporate governance matters, and provides strategic business and legal advice. I represent companies across a wide variety of industries including artificial intelligence, clean and renewable energy, and various software and hardware technology companies. In addition to my practice, I coach various law school students in negotiation and dispute resolution teams in national and international competitions at several Bay Area law schools. I am a member of the EMI Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving negotiation and alternative dispute resolution education and practice. I also provide pro bono legal services to victims of sex trafficking, unhoused individuals, the unjustly incarcerated, and veterans. Prior to my legal practice, I worked with a number of emerging growth companies in business development. As a Bay Area native, I have appreciated the ability to build my career in San Francisco.
