Has over 35 years experience in Statutory audits, Internal audits of large multinational as well as Indian companies spread over various industries including Hindustan Unilever, Glaxo, Novartis Kotak etc. Has carried out due diligence reviews on behalf of several multinational companies for investment in India. Retired from Lovelock & Lewes / Price Waterhouse ( member firms of PricewaterhouseCoopers ) in 2011.Thomas was on the Central Board of State Bank of India as an Independent Director and was on various committees including Audit Committee, Risk Management Committee, Special Committee for Monitoring Large value frauds and also on the board for selection of Deputy Managing Directors in 2013 and 2014. Involved in various social service activities and was a Trustee of Pratham Education Trust, Mumbai for a number of years and is currently on the Advisory Board of Karunya Trust.Was a member of the Research Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.Currently Independent Director on the Boards of CSB Bank Ltd ( formerly Catholic Syrian Bank Limited) and Muthoot Capital Services Limited.
