Dr.Fr. Ginu(Thomas) Mathilakathu CMI, is the Founding Director of Geothirbhavan, CMI Centre for Counselling, Training and Transformation, started in 2010 at Chethimattam, Pala, Kottayam. He has his graduation in Psychology from Christ College, Bangalore University and completed his Post graduation in Counselling Psychology from De La Salle University, Manila, Philippines. He completed his Doctorate in Counselling Psychology on ‘Experience of Conjugal Bereavement among Indian Women and their coping strategies from Selinus University of Sciences and Literature, Italy. At present he is serving as the Joint Director of Mary Queens Mission Hospital, Kanjirappally and the Director of Mind care Child Development and Holistic Counseling Centre at Mary Queens Hospital. At present he serves as the President of Conference of Catholic Psychologists, India(CCPI), an Association of Professional Psychologists. He is also a Life time member of American Psychological Association (APA) and participated in the APA International Conference 2018 at Sanfrancisco, USA. He is also the founding secretary of CMI Psychological Association(CPA). Life member of Association of Psychological and Educational counsellors of ASIA-PACIFIC, CHI- USA, SCEH, India. Chief Guidance counsellor and Counselling Psychologist of Chavara Public School and St. Vincent CMI School Pala, Kottayam, Kerala, India. He was also the National secretary of the CCPI. Member of Association of Psychological & Educational Counselors of ASIA-PACIFIC (APECA, International and APECAI, India. He served in the provincial Administration team as the councillor for Social Apostolate in the year 2017-2019 and the Chairman of Mary Queens Hospital, Kanjirappally. Published his First Book “Walk to Freedom with Jesus” He was the Editor in Chief of Vachanam Balivediyil, a CMI Pastoral Publication. He has various Diplomas in the field of Counselling, namely Family Counselling and Child Counselling and conducted training programmes for people from all walks of life. He has participated and organizing training in Hypnotherapy courses accredited by California Hypnotherapy Institute, USA.(CHI-USA) and NLP Course accredited by ANLP. He has 12 years of experience in counseling and psychotherapy and conducted more than cases of Counselling sessions. He is also having a YouTube channel named GD Life Streams with motivational videos, mental health programmes for children and family, Psychological issues and solutions etc.
