Physical protection responsibilities include asset protection, workplace violence prevention, counter terrorism assessment and preparation, unwanted solicitation prevention, access control systems and video surveillance. • Develops and implements comprehensive and detailed security plans for student ridership during school dismissal hours • Communicates and coordinates with area agencies regarding security preparations, support and concerns affecting Transit District 32 and event operations. • Meet regularly with Police Department upper echelon supervision to parlay statistical information regarding crime prevention and enforcement activity. • Monitors world news and events for incidences and activities that may impact NYCT and New York City as a whole. Suggests security plans and operational strategies based upon intelligence gathered and risk assessments performed to supervisory officers. • Develops and implements security policies and procedures for student dismissals in the TD-32 area. Coordinates policy compliance with various internal (other transit police school units) and external (NYCT Police and MTA personnel) stakeholders. • Conducts thorough investigation and follow-up with all MTA stakeholders and customers regarding security issues/incidents.
