I am currently employed by Idorsia Pharmaceuticals Ltd. as Head of Health, Safety, Security and Environment, where I focus on continuously assessing and managing potential hazards on our premises and facilities in Switzerland.Prior to my current position, I spent 10 years at Actelion Pharmaceuticals Ltd, as a Senior Health & Safety Officer. During this time, I developed a deep understanding for the best practices in health, safety, and environment, as well as a broad range of skills and knowledge in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. I also had the privilege of serving as a manager of practical training at Aprentas, where I trained numerous of adolescent and adult chemical- and pharmaceutical technologists.Throughout my career, I have pursued various opportunities for professional growth and development. I am a proud graduate of the Federal Diploma Chemical Technologists program and hold a federal diploma as a specialist for occupational safety and health. Additionally, I earned a Certificate of Advanced Studies in work and health / workplace safety from the University of Applied Sciences in Lucerne.My expertise extends to numerous areas of the chemical industry, including handling and storage of dangerous goods, hazardous substances, carrying out hazard assessments, audits, risk analysis, implementation and evaluation of physical measurements, and electrostatic and grounding issues.
