Background

About Thomas Normanton

As a graduate EHS engineer at 3M, I apply my mechanical engineering skills and knowledge to ensure the safety and sustainability of the company's operations and products. I work with a diverse and collaborative team of engineers, managers, and stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate environmental, health, and safety risks and impacts. I also contribute to the development and implementation of EHS policies, standards, and best practices across the organization. With a bachelor's degree and a postgraduate diploma in mechanical engineering from Newcastle University, I have a solid academic background and a passion for learning and innovation. In addition to my engineering role, I am also the head coach, owner, and founder of Mighty Knights Dodgeball, a local sports club that promotes physical and mental well-being, teamwork, and fun through dodgeball. I have over four years of experience in coaching, finance, and management, and I enjoy sharing my skills and enthusiasm with others. My core competencies include problem-solving, communication, leadership, and creativity. My mission is to make a positive difference in the world through my various roles and my goal is to continue to grow and excel in both fields.
