Dr. Tom Cargiulo is an accomplished, influential, and versatile life sciences leader with deep expertise in the mental health space and a proven track record of excellence across medical affairs. He currently leads a national Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team, bringing strategic oversight, mentorship, and cross-functional collaboration to support innovative therapies and drive scientific engagement. With over 11 years of experience as a Senior Lead MSL at Indivior Pharmaceuticals—including the successful launch of three medications—Dr. Cargiulo is known for building trusted, long-standing relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers, internal stakeholders, and peers. His clinical expertise, particularly in psychiatry and addiction medicine, is complemented by a passion for education and advocacy for optimal patient care. Dr. Cargiulo is a PharmD who was formerly Board Certified in Psychiatric Pharmacy and a Certified Addictions Counselor. He serves as a Clinical Professor at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore School of Pharmacy and has lectured nationally on mental health and addiction. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of the Maryland Alcohol and Drug Abuse Administration, managing a $150M annual budget and leading statewide prevention, treatment, and recovery services. He has received executive management training at the Wharton School and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Cargiulo’s diverse background enables him to adapt seamlessly to various therapeutic areas while consistently delivering value across the healthcare landscape.
