About Thomas Papapolyzos

Thomas Papapolyzos received his Bachelor of Science in Physics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (1985-1990) and his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the New York University (NYU) Tandon School of Engineering, USA (1990 – 1992). He is the Managing Director of HYPERTECH S.A. & the founder of a-Quant, an AI algorithmic trading company. In HYPERTECH, he is responsible for strategy and product development as well as talent and team acquisition efforts. He has coordinated the development of numerous products in the fields of Financial technology, Smart Energy, Digital Advertising, Data analytics & Knowledge Management platforms. A serial entrepreneur has founded more than six companies in the fields of Internet, Financial Services, Consulting, Tech Services, etc, with some of them being sold to bigger institutions. He consults regularly for governments and private projects in the EU, Balkans & Middle East areas in the fields of Entrepreneurship, Information technology, Financial Trading & Investment technology, Digital Advertising, etc. Currently, he serves as a member of the Board of many companies in the Technology, Financial Services, Advertising, and Consulting fields.
