As a final-year PhD student in biophysics at Lyon's Institut Lumière Matière, my research focuses on the Hydra (Hydra vulgaris), a freshwater organism renowned for its remarkable regenerative capabilities. My goal is to elucidate the connection between tissue mechanics and the biological processes involved in regeneration. With a background in physics and a passion for biology, I found the perfect intersection of these disciplines during my engineering studies, culminating in a degree in cellular physics. Over the course of my PhD, I have developed a range of skills in this field- Physical modeling and data analysis - Proficiency in various microscopy techniques - Experience in handling and studying living organisms I am open to career opportunities in biophysics, mechanobiology, or biomedicine. It is important for me to engage in meaningful work. As I consider my professional future, I am weighing the options of continuing in academia to advance scientific knowledge or exploring the private sector by joining industry.
