About Thomas Ready

Thomas Ready was born and raised in Blackwood, NJ, later relocating to Cape May County, NJ. He graduated from Triton Regional High School in 2005. He attended Rowan University where he was a member of the Men's Baseball Team in each of his four years of study. He graduated in 2009, with a Bachelor's Degree in Law and Justice Studies. He met his wife at Rowan, and they share three beautiful children together. In 2010, Officer Ready began his career with the Sea Isle City Police Department, as a Special Law Enforcement Class II Officer. As of 2024, Sergeant Ready is the supervisor of Squad 1, within the Patrol Division of the Sea Isle Police Department. Throughout the years, Sergeant Ready has served as a Field Training Officer and Drug Recognition Expert, receiving multiple awards from Mothers Against Drunk Driving in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022. Sergeant Ready, through Kean University, is also a New Jersey Traffic Safety Specialist (TSS Level 1), and a graduate of the New Jersey Chiefs of Police Association Command and Leadership Academy (2022). He serves as a member of the Recruitment and Career Development Team. Sergeant Ready has been awarded the Merit Award, Life Saving Medal, Educational Award, and several Certificates of Exceptional Duty by the Sea Isle City Police Department.In 2023, Sergeant Ready completed his degree as a Master of Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, with Graduate Certificates in Public Management and Leadership from the School of Public and Global Affairs, achieving a cumulative 4.0 Grade Point Average.Sergeant Ready is a member of Pi Alpha Alpha Honor Society, the National Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration, as well as Omicron Sigma Sigma - The Sword and the Shield National Honor Society - the academic and professional honor society for all homeland security disciplines.Sergeant Ready is active in his community, entering into his third year as a tee ball coach and is involved in men's softball and (tries to) golf.
