Keller Mercy Ships is a global charity that has operated hospital ships in developing nations since 1978. At Mercy Ships our aim is to bring hope and healing to the forgotten poor by mobilizing people and resources worldwide, serving all people without regard for race, gender, or religion. Mercy Ships brings forth world wide unity of all kinds of people groups regardless of race, age, gender and religion. This diverse International unity is brought upon by our support offices and our volunteers. Throughout the world, as volunteers, we have a vision that equips each other to think out the implications of the gospel on how we do carpentry, plumbing, data–entry, nursing, business, government, journalism, and entertainment. We desire to help those not only in Africa, but also those who seek to play a part in brining Hope to the less fortunate by volunteering with Mercy Ships. We do this by assisting with distinctiveness, excellence, and accountability in their trades and professions. Equipping our volunteers is part of the work of bringing a measure of healing to God’s people in the power of the Spirit. Bringing joy, hope, and truth to embodiment in the arts is also part of this work. We do all of this because the gospel of God leads us to it.
