As entrepreneurs, we all want to grow personally and professionally in order to make an impact on the communities we are a part of. The status quo is to attend college, get an advanced degree, and start a career. That’s where the story ends. Typically. There are no rules or guidelines for continued growth in a postgraduate world. Business owners and entrepreneurs shouldn’t be worried about if they can continue to grow and keep up with their competitors. Personal and professional growth shouldn’t stop at formal education. I understand how hard it is to advance when the norm is to be stagnant. When I was teaching high school, I wanted nothing more than to grow personally and professionally. This was met with a lack of support from the “higher ups”. Not to be stopped, I completed by Masters Degree in Secondary Education in 2013 while simultaneously teaching full time. Sometimes it takes the naysayers to push an entrepreneur to act. This action for me was to leave education, take a leap of faith and take control of my future. Since 2014 I have been fortunate to be a part of 10+ companies in various stages from inception to a focus on sales volume growth and staff development.
