About Thomas Sandquist

I have a broad background within different branches, roles and countries. During my work life I have gained a deep understanding of the financial processes and have the ability to combine that understanding with hands on knowledge in Controlling and Accounting in strategic work. I have extensive knowledge from work in management teams and within boards. What drives me is a constant search for improvements - how can the finance team be more efficient with higher quality - and therefore spend time on value creating work. One of the main characteristics of my management style is to set goals for my employees - but I'm always available for hands on tips and help. I work to create a physiological safety since that is imperative to develop the team as well as to get all employees to feel "at home" at work. During my work life, I have been part of many change journeys, designed and implemented numerous budget systems, report package and key-ratios - this in order to get management the best available data to base its decisions on. I'm known for always deliver on time with good quality and to be analytical and use objective criteria for decision. I like to have the full responsibility and to have the mandate to create a finance department that not only delivers correct numbers in meaningful reports - but also have an understanding for the business and seen as a business partner with valuable insights.
