As a Lead Research Analyst with the Federal Bureau of Investigation - Information Management Division, Enterprise Vetting Center, I am responsible for application and review of comprehensive analytical work to process vetting requests from high-level agencies, including the White House, National Security Council, Congressional committees, foreign intelligence agencies, and federal/local law enforcement agencies regarding individuals of interest. I apply my knowledge and experience as a former lower-level analyst to auditing reports and outgoing communications. Leveraging proprietary and criminal justice databases, I uphold the security and accuracy of sensitive information, preventing the release of incorrect or unauthorized data. To ensure well-informed decision-making and the appropriate course of action, I engage with outside and interagency personnel to obtain and clarify essential information. As a Lead, I mentor new and less experienced analysts on required protocols and research methods, ensuring they develop the skills necessary for accurate and thorough analysis. I provide constructive feedback to maintain high standards of accuracy and compliance. Our mission is critical in supporting national security policy decisions, background investigations, and intelligence operations, impacting high-level governmental and international affairs. Work is performed in an office setting, requiring meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle complex and sensitive information under tight deadlines. I am a Veteran, having served for 10 years in the Virginia Army National Guard, Military Police. I deployed to GTMO-Guantanamo Bay during 2015-2016 in support of OIF/OEF. Upon returning, I continued with additional active duty orders as an analyst with the Virginia Counter-Drug Task Force, before moving into a contractor position with the FBI, supporting the same mission I serve now. In 2019, I made the move working directly for the FBI.
