My career at Valmet started as a simple mail room and data entry clerk. With hard work, continuous improvement, dedication and an eagerness to always learn more and strive for better I have been able to move up in the ranks and learn different aspects in fincial services. As an Accounts Payable Specialist I gained the skill required to process and pay invoices according to their terms and global accounting standards. I have apportubity to also work closely with our Travel and expense team getting to know the different employees around north America while auditing and processing their reports. I have been fortunate enough to be part of the mentoring program in Accounts recevable adding Cash application of incoming customer payments for our Automation divisons as part of my portfolio. I have three years managing fast food restaurants enabling me to deal with high stress and fast paced environment. Customer service is at the most importance in my view. Being able to service a customer to their exact specifications with ease and precision is my goal with each and every customer. I enjoy teaching policies a procedures to new employees to ensure that everything Is done to specification. In all my positions and previous employments I have had the opportunity to train an inumerable amount of newcomers and follow up with their progress as they grow and sometimes even surpass me in their careers. My program in computerized financial management taught me important skills in the Accounting field. I have learned how to utilize Microsoft office Excel (functions, pivot tables and macros; intermediate), PowerPoint, Word, and access. One of my greatest values at work is the recognition of the people who make the company work. I have taken the liberty to join the founding social committee at Valmet to organize team building and employee recognition events. these events range from fundraising for the CIBC run for the cure in 2017 to Easter egg hunt and summer barbeques!
