About Thomas Staton

I am a graduate of the University of Central Florida DPT program. I was hired by Genesis Rehab Services as a staff physical therapist (skilled nursing facility settings, mostly) in the greater Denver area, at which time I spent evaluating and treating patients in several buildings across the metro area. I was then promoted to Director of Rehab with GRS in Albuquerque, NM and spent about 2.5 years in this role. During this time as a DOR, I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of learning other settings/sites and spent my extra time as a PRN physical therapist for other skilled nursing facilities around Albuquerque, as well as in home health care. As of January 2015, I have been in the role of Clinical Operations Area Director for Genesis Rehab Services in which I have been responsible for the multi-site operational and clinical management of anywhere between 10-20 rehabilitation departments inside skilled nursing facilities, outpatient facilities and Vitality (outpatient at home) locations across New Mexico and Arizona. I have extensive knowledge and experience with outpatient, home health, long-term and sub-acute therapy, insurances, and operational/clinical management of all therapy disciplines across a variety of settings and lines of service. I believe most in fair and consistent practices and leadership and if the patient is always put first, the rest will follow.
