About Thomas Stockwell

I’m a logistics and shipping professional with hands-on experience managing fleet operations, freight dispatch, and compliance in the steel fabrication and hazmat transport industries. I currently serve as the Logistics & Shipping Coordinator at QMF Steel Inc, where I oversee daily yard operations, schedule shipments, manage driver coordination, and ensure FMCSA/CVSA compliance — all while driving process improvements and reducing delays. With a Class A CDL and over 5 years of experience operating commercial trucks and coordinating deliveries, I understand both the behind-the-scenes planning and the boots-on-the-ground execution required for successful logistics. I’ve worked with everything from flatbeds and step decks to minibulk tankers hauling hazardous materials, and I bring that real-world perspective into every load I manage.Currently enrolled in the Supply Chain Management program at Collin College, I’m building on my field experience with a deeper understanding of logistics strategy, inventory control, and procurement. Core Strengths:• Fleet & Yard Operations• Load Planning & Dispatching• BOL & Freight Documentation• FMCSA/DOT Compliance• Logistics Process Optimization• Driver & Vendor Coordination• Transportation Safety & EfficiencyI'm always looking to connect with other professionals in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or industrial operations.
