I love tackling complex problems that impact patient care. Over the past 10 years, I have collaborated with health systems, payers, private practices, and health tech startups to streamline healthcare operations, reduce expenses, maximize ROI on technology investments, and launch value-based care initiatives. My areas of expertise include- Workforce Management: redesigning operational workflows to improve staffing to volume; developing productivity targets and staffing tools for Inpatient Nursing, Clinical Ancillary, Support Services, and Administration; and establishing robust position review processes to accomplish effective labor cost management- Product Operations: aligning product roadmaps with the Voice of the Customer, managing product backlogs to enhance the roadmap with critical features and functions to drive customer adoption, and supporting product releases- Software as a Service (SaaS): designing turnkey solutions focused on improving health quality and outcomes, implementing advanced analytics with cross-functional teams to support clinical decision making, and managing and negotiating risk-based contracts that align to the value of care provided to patients- Program Evaluation: developing research questions to test hypotheses, collaborating with data scientists to launch randomized-controlled trial studies for health interventions, and conducting pre-post analyses to evaluate program impacts. Throughout my career, I have enjoyed partnering with healthcare executives, clinicians, and frontline staff to identify opportunities to improve the healthcare industry. My breadth of experience has fueled my passion to improve the care we provide to patients. As an incoming medical student, I look forward to integrating my diverse perspective and learnings from my previous career with my future path as a clinician.
