Drainage Engineer with 13 years of experience. I began my career working on small private sewage treatment plants, this included maintenance and regular services of wastewater treatment systems. I then began to install sewage treatment plants, learning to operate excavators and heavy plant machinery. After many years of work this developed into being offered the role of Service Manager. I then spent 6 years as Service/Installation Manager, for two different companies. This role consisted of completing quotations for all manner of installations and repairs of sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and rainwater harvesting systems. I carried out site visits with potential clients, drawing of site plans, ordering of materials required and then the completion of the installation from start to finish. This role still included faultfinding, repairs and maintenance of all manner of private wastewater treatment systems. I have managed and completed very large installation projects of sewage treatment plants, the largest being a 400 population plant at a Golf and Country Club. I am currently completing manhole rehabilitation projects. This involves fully re-building manholes that have been damaged by H²S gases and also manholes that are suffering with groundwater infiltration.
