About Thomas van Winkle

For the past twenty seven years Tom has served in multiple roles in GM/GMAC/Ally having exceeded expectations in all of them. Toms work ethic is solid and He holds himself to a high standard. Toms current duties include loss cost control of vehicle service contracts, dealer training, software integration, product marketing, despute resolution, product development, Fixed Operations Consulting. Tom is also a principal partner in Heritage Media,LLC, a video media company which has produced several well received films and web content. Current rolls include; Executive Producer of all films,audio engineer, write and co-write several screen plays, web site designer, and one of four videographers. Living in Spotsylvania Virginia, center of many major Civil War battles, Tom has studied in depth these conflicts. Tom was newsletter editor, battlefield preservation director, membership director and eventual five term president of the Friends of Wilderness Battlefield in Spotsylvania, VA. Previous Secretary of the Friends of Fredericksburg Area Battlefields. Has written historical and preservation articles for The Civil War News, The Free Lance-Star, Culpeper Star Exponent, Wilderness Dispatch, The Skirmish Line, and magazines including Blue & Gray. Tom is currently on the Board of Directors and the Communications Director/Webmaster for the Central Virginia Battlefields Trust.cc
