About Thomas Woehler

Dr Woehler devoted his practice of Internal Medicine, with a sub-speciality of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. While practicing conventional medicine he founded reSearch for Health, a for profit clinical medical research company catering to recruiting, executing and overseeing clinical research among busy private practice physicians. Eventually selling out the clinical research company, which became the largest private practice research facility in the USA and then selling the partnership in the largest allergy group in the state of Texas, Dr Woehler moved to the not-for-profit arena. The Oliver Foundation works towards the prevention of childhood obesity. Working in tandem with Baylor College of Medicine in the Fort Bend Independat School District the collaboration led to the 1st studies to show statistical success in the field of the prevention of childhood obesity. The Foundation continues to work in multiple school districts in the Houston area to promote healthy practices in the elementary schools.
