Thanks for visiting my profile.I am an innovative chemist with specialities in separation science, chromatography, and developing instrumentation.Since achieving my Bachelors in Chemistry, I have continually developed, earning a Masters in Catalysis and PhD in Separation Science. As part of the Myers Chromatography group at the University of Liverpool, I contributed to projects in separation science, microfluidics, chromatography, materials science, nanotechnology, chemical synthesis, catalysis, rapid prototyping, and computer modelling. During this work I successfully forged strong interdisciplinary collaborations within academia and industry, driving the development of a microfluidic device for Dynamic Fields Gradient Focusing, which was subsequently utilised as a standalone separation device, and as part of a 2D-HPLC and LC-MS system.Having moved into commercial instrumentation, I previously worked for Kratos Analytical as a customer service engineer for X-Ray Photoelectron Spectrometers. This role involved travelling to customer’s sites around the world to delivering training, technical support, and servicing.
